A classroom whiteboard for teaching, in or out of the room

Built for the front of the class and the video lesson: handwriting lines, a big countdown timer, a laser pointer that fades on its own, and one tap to go full screen.

Ways teachers use it

Handwriting and phonics

The default paper is primary handwriting ruling: a solid top line, a dashed midline for x-height and a solid baseline, with a gap before the next row. Model letter formation with the marker, then switch colours to show the next stroke.

Maths working

Switch to grid paper for column arithmetic, bar models and coordinate work, or isometric paper for drawing cubes and nets. Hold Shift with the line tool to keep axes perfectly straight.

Timed tasks

Start a 1, 3, 5 or 10 minute countdown from the toolbar. It sits on the board where the class can see it, so you don’t need a second tab for a timer.

Pointing without drawing

The laser pointer (K) leaves a red trail that fades after about a second. Use it to direct attention on a projected worksheet or diagram without cluttering the board with arrows you then have to erase.

Starting a lesson with structure

Drop a KWL-style three-column layout or a mind map from the templates page, or switch to the chalkboard look for a room with a darker, lower-glare screen.
