BoardFlow is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we handle data when you use our collaborative whiteboard service.
Data Collection & Storage

All your drawing data is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. We do not store your drawings on our servers.
π Board State Synchronization
When you collaborate with others, board state (drawings, objects, cursor positions) is transmitted via secure WebSocket connections. This data is only shared with other users currently viewing the same board and is not permanently stored on our servers.
π€ No Personal Information Required
We do not require registration, email addresses, or any personal information to use BoardFlow.
Data Transmission

Board drawings, shapes, text, and cursor positions for real-time collaboration.
β What we don't transmit
No personally identifiable information (PII) is sent to our servers.
Cookies & Analytics
We use minimal analytics to understand site usage and improve performance. No tracking cookies are used for advertising purposes.
User Control
You have full control over your data:
- β’ Clear your browser's IndexedDB to delete all locally stored boards
- β’ Close the board to stop sharing real-time data
- β’ Export your drawings as PNG/PDF before clearing data
AI Features & Third-Party Processing
Current Status: BoardFlow does not currently use AI features or send your content to third-party AI providers.
Future AI Features: If we introduce AI-powered features (e.g., smart shape recognition, auto-layout), we will:
- β Clearly disclose which AI provider processes your data
- β Obtain explicit user consent before sending any content to AI services
- β Specify exactly what data fields are transmitted and for what purpose
- β Make AI features entirely optional

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Continued use of BoardFlow constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
