Which grid for which job

Square grid

The classic for maths, charts and floor plans. The darker line every fifth square makes counting quick: five small squares to a block, like standard engineering paper. Use it for bar charts, coordinate geometry, pixel art and scale drawings.

Dot grid

Gives you alignment without the visual noise of full lines. Popular for bullet-journal layouts, UI wireframes and hand lettering, where the grid should guide you and then fade out of the finished look.

Isometric

Vertical lines plus two sets of lines at 30° to the horizontal. Every cube edge lands on a line, so you can draw 3D blocks, room layouts and nets without a ruler or any perspective maths.

Questions people ask

What size are the graph paper squares?

At 100% zoom each small square is 32 pixels, with a darker line every five squares, like engineering paper. Zoom in or out and the grid rescales with your drawing, switching to a coarser grid when the squares would get too small to see.

Can I print this graph paper?

Yes. Draw on it, then use Export → Download PDF or PNG. The export includes the grid behind your drawing. For a blank sheet, draw a large rectangle to set the area you want, export, then erase it.

Is there dot grid and isometric paper too?

Yes. The paper button switches between square grid, dot grid, isometric (triangles for 3D drawings), ruled lines, handwriting lines and plain. Your drawing stays put when you switch.

Can I plot a function or graph data here?

This is freehand graph paper, not a graphing calculator. It’s great for sketching axes, bar charts, geometry constructions and floor plans by hand. Hold Shift with the line tool for exact horizontal, vertical and 45° lines.
