Printable graph paper / 1 cm grid

1 cm graph paper to print

Centimetre squares are big enough for young children’s maths and for counting areas by hand. A bold line every 5 cm keeps longer measurements easy to read.

What it’s good for

Primary maths (area, perimeter, arrays), large handwriting practice, and quick metric scale drawings.

Every option above can be changed: swap Letter for A4, change the line colour to a pale blue that photocopies faintly, or turn on landscape. The PDF is rebuilt instantly in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

Prefer to draw on screen? The online graph paper board has the same grids with markers and snapping lines.

Questions people ask

Will the squares really measure 1 cm when printed?

Yes, if you print at 100% / “Actual size”. The PDF is drawn in exact physical units, but “Fit to page” in the print dialog shrinks it slightly; switch that off.

How do I print it at the correct size?

Choose “Actual size” or 100% scale in the print dialog. “Fit to page” shrinks the grid by a few percent.

Is it free?

Yes: no account, no watermark, no limit. The PDF is generated in your browser.
