Why is engineering paper green?
Mostly tradition: the pale green grid is easy on the eye and stays distinct from pencil. Traditional engineering pads print the grid on the back of the sheet so it shows through faintly; a home printer can only print one side at a time, so this version puts it on the front.
How do I print it at the correct size?
Choose “Actual size” or 100% scale in the print dialog. “Fit to page” shrinks the grid by a few percent.
